Make it Modern with Riley Blake Designs

This month, for Make It Modern with Riley Blake Designs, I worked on a personal design of my own. I call this one Gems. It features Riley Blake Designs Blossom.

Blossom Basics really helped me bring out the shapes of each block just as I had envisioned them in my head.

In designing this quilt, I used EQ8 to draw out my design and there are a few things that I needed to think about while making this design. I wanted to test it out myself before having a pattern available for others to purchase and play with.

I’m happy and excited for the way it has turned out! The Blossom Basics were just perfect for the colors I wanted. I had a couple of design flaws which I get to work out before getting this out to you!
